Red Malibu

Red Malibu is named after the famous coastal town in California. In 1926, a small ceramic tile factory, Malibu Potteries, was opened to produce tiles with a distinct hybrid of Moorish and Arts and Crafts designs. The factory was ravaged by a fire in 1931 and never recovered. The deep reddish brown coloration of these tiles from Malibu Potteries is seen in our Red Malibu granite.
