Reclaimed Basin

Our Reclaimed basins are from regions around the Yangtze River in China. The basins were crafted by stone carvers to take care of livestock on the farms. Many basins have designs chiseled into the stone. Worn marks are seen where livestock were tethered to the basin, and while these animals drank, rubbed the stone smooth over time. These regions are part of the Three Gorges Dam project and the basins were reclaimed before the area was flooded.
