Pietra Piasentina is a unique limestone tile characterized by a cool gray brown color palette with dramatic white veining in the material. According to a myth, Pietra Piasentina takes its name from local builders who, a few centuries ago, described it – in the local dialect – to those in charge of transport as a stone that “piase” (pleases) or a “pleasant” stone.
